Carmen Moyer,
Club Leader
Our founding leader, Carmen Moyer, is our main contact with Guide Dogs for the Blind, and handles all matters pertaining to raisers and membership. Carmen has raised over nineteen dogs. In her spare time, Carmen participates in the Denver Pet Partner dog therapy program and is certified with two of her career change dogs.  Email Carmen

In February, 2001 Carmen was awarded the Channel 7 Everyday Hero award  for her volunteer efforts with Have Paws Will Travel Raisers and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Ivy
Carmen received the prestigious IVY Award (Important Volunteer of the Year) in 1994 for her work with Arapahoe County 4-H Youth in the Guide Dog project and many other 4-H activities.

Nancy Lukacovic
Older Puppy Specialist
Nancy Lukacovic joined HPWT as the mom of a 4-H Raiser and quickly assumed the role as our older puppy class leader. Her background with dogs is obedience and agility training, a short stint working with a vet, and a few years as a foster care volunteer for the Dumb Friends League. Nancy has a flair for interesting meetings and keeping everyone informed and orgainzed. She has raised two puppies with her daughter Erin. Email Nancy



Lizz Landert,
Young Puppy Specialist
Lizz Landert leads our "baby" puppy classes, meeting weekly with the newest puppies and their raisers to ensure everyone--pups and people--get off to a good start. Lizz has raised over a fifteen Guide puppies, and is active in the Denver Pet Partners program with her career change dog, Marney. Email Lizz


andrea loughry
Andrea Loughry,
Webmistress
With hobbies of photography and writing, maintining the website has become a passion for Andrea Loughry.  She maintains club records and statistics as well. A strong interest in dog behavior allows her to consult with the club leaders on puppy training issues and other club business. Andrea is also passionate about golden retirievers, and gets a kick out of the labbies, too. Andrea has raised fifteen Guide puppies.
